DR. GARY CLARKE
Forester

Academic qualifications include a PhD in Sustainable Forest Management from the University of Aberdeen, BSc (Forestry Honours) in Ecological Science from the University of Edinburgh (Distinction) and BA (Honours) in Geography from the University of Portsmouth (Credit)

15 years post-graduate experience in forestry and environmental management. 6 years experience in the forestry and environment sector in Guyana including working for DFID on forestry development (1999-2002) and WWF-Guianas as advisor on sustainable forestry and coordinator for biodiversity conservation planning (2003-). Other professional experience includes project and sectoral environmental assessments, forest certification, strategic planning, project management, training and research.
